Morning of April 16th, we are going into Great Smoky National Park.
It's my mom's birthday, Happy birthday Mom.
Just getting going. Just trying to beat out all these lamewads who I had to camp with last night. They were annoying so, I'm going to try to go seventeen miles today. Should get up one shelter on them. In the Smoky's we have to stay in a shelter, so my miles are gonna be kind of dictated by where I can sleep.
Made it to Spence Field shelter from Fontana dam before 4 PM. It was all uphill today. Climbed 3000 ft, but the terrain was pretty good so I made good time. Camped with much cooler people tonight than last night.
